Major POI shift
I took my Rossi 1892 clone to the range the other day. It has a lyman aperture rear I had a gunsmith install, and a basic post with dot front sight. I've had it sighted in for years now, and it varies a bit with ammo etc but is pretty close to on. However the other day it was shooting a foot low at 50 yards. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting? The ammo was .357 from Surplusammo.com which has been fine in my other stuff.

Re: Major POI shift
Do you still have some of the ammo that was printing OK? Maybe try that and see if it still prints low.
IOW before doing anything to the rifle, eliminate the ammo as a cause.
The fact that ammo works fine in one gun does not mean that it will be fine in another.

I still have a couple boxes of fiocchi that worked fine in the past, I'll try that.
