Narrowing down scope choices

I got a call from Schmidt & Bender last week. My 33-year-old 6x42 scope checks out in perfect condition, but they are going to give it a full overhaul anyway (dismantle, clean, lubricate, new O-rings and seals, new nitrogen fill), all for less than 10% of the price of a new S&B scope. They'll also switch the original German No 4 post reticle to a No 4 duplex for me at no additional cost. I am delighted.
