One of the big UK firearms auction houses was selling off the unsold lots from their recent auction on a buy-it-now basis. Understandably, New Year seems to be a time when sales are slow, after the Christmas shopping expenses, so there were a number of decent looking pieces left unsold, rather than the usual dregs and dross. I had enough willpower to avoid bidding in the actual auction, but the left-overs got me!
Here's what I bought:
A Browning rifle, in .270, with a Swarovski Habicht Nova 4x32 scope. I think it's probably an A-Bolt model. The serial number dates the rifle to 1986. Anybody recognise the exact rifle model? If the scope is in good condition, it alone is probably worth what I paid for the combo...

A CZ 527 in .222 Rem. A companion piece to my 527 in 7.62x39 Kalashnikov. Now I'll need to get another new-style bolt handle...

A Brno Model 581 in .22lr. The Brno Model 581 and its little brother the Model 511 are my favourite semi-auto .22 bunny guns. I may have a slight hoarding problem there

I think I will put the Habicht scope from the Browning onto my favorite Brno 581, or maybe my Vostok target rifle - either should be a really nice platform for a top notch scope.
