When I first started checking into building one, I read that standard 115gr ammo sometimes had ejection problems and that 124gr worked the best.
A lot also has to do with the buffer. The 9mm works on the blow back system and works best with a heave buffer.
BUFFER WEIGHTS
2.9oz standard carbine buffer
H Buffer 3.7oz
ST-T2 4.3oz
ST-T3 5.4oz
9mm buffer 5.5oz
Most 9mm buffers are a little longer then the standard carbine buffer.
I fired the carbine with a standard buffer and a Spike ST-T3 buffer. It fuctioned fine with both buffers but runs smoother with the heavy buffer.
I have a Rock Riner Arms 9mm buffer coming in. Weighs 5.5 oz and uses mechanical reciprocation. It is also used to reduce cycle rate of the AR15 and felt recoil.
I have a bunch of +P JHP 9mm that I will be shooting.

Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.
