There is a LOT of partz in there for one of those rifles! Wow. I just got a 79.999% lower. This is going to take some doing. Got the tools and the jig. There is an older, numbered one in the safe that I use from time to time which is a real tack driver and it will remain stock for a variety of reasons. I want to build one with a 16.1" barrel and thought this might be one way to do it. Since I'm only making one I figured the jig thing with the drill press and a trim router was the way to go. Even with the CNC, I don't possess the professional skills to program the thing to do something like that - maybe later. There is a husband/wife dealer team I met at the local gun show that live close by and they will help me get all the parts I need to complete this. That is an important thing because I have only a rudimentary knowledge of what parts, exactly in total, it is going to take to do all this. I shall report progress as it unfolds should anyone might be interested. I have heard talk that tends to suggest that this method of rolling your own will probably dry up sooner rather than later if the PTB have their way.........

Just pre-ordered their AR-308 lower. As a pre-order, they're charging $75 instead of the expected regular price of $150 or so. A first-time order code knocked it down to $62 & some change. Once it actually ships, I'll build something AR-10ish off of it & see how it does.
