Palmetto State Armory has announced that they'll be selling their own AK:

Meh, for that kind of money I'd want something better than a slant cut compensator. I suspect the barrel's not chromed, either. It does have Magpul MOE furniture, though, if that's your style.

Says it is melonite. That's a trademark name for a nitro-carburizing process, which is essentially what Glock does to their steel parts. Supposed to have the benefits of chrome, without the negatives.
