OK, after some quick research, looks like the average class size runs about 1200 to 1300 grads.

About 3 to 4 months of work for a small manufacturer, turning out 20 sets per day.

Using 1200 units as the production run:

wood blanks would need to be 6" x 3" x 1/4" thick = 600 board ft of 6 x 1/4".

manufacturing cost @ $20 per set = $24,000. (materials, tooling, finish, electricity, labor, packing and shipping)

final price @ $30.00 per graduate = $36,000

No problem (Price includes an extra large bottle of aspirin for headaches)
