Ghastly.
I'm not old--It's too early to be this late.

It "appears" to be operator error. What do you think? One of the commenters suggested an after market slide. Might not be a bad idea.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Seems to be operator error. First one definitely looked like operator error, as well as poor decision-making wrt a cheap vertical grip.

But damn this thing is unforgiving of stupidity.

Yup. Operator error.

Putting your hand in front of the muzzle when you pull the trigger is a bad idea.

Is it easier to put your hand in front of the muzzle of a 26" weapon than a 46" weapon? Obviously.

Does that mean idiots should be able to ban my owning a 26" weapon? Hell No!

Kind of ghoulish but I've got a 12 gauge story. Back in the early 70s, I was stationed with 2nd AD at Fort Hood. My unit had support cycle and part of that was guard at the post stockade. One of our numbnuts was sitting in the tower with a 12 gauge, messing around with his thumb over the muzzle. He hit the trigger and watched in shock as what was left of his thumb was launched into the exercise yard below. Unless there's a major flaw in a firearm, it's usually operator error.
