The initial feel is improved, if only because it is wood and doesn't stick to my hand like the plastic. It is also slightly thicker than the plastic grip and fits my hand better now.
Now time to get a little x4 power scope for it...

Prettied up the Buckmark
I was surfing the interweb last week and found a set of Browning wood laminate grips on sale ($36.50 shipped to AK), so did a kind of impulse buy on them. I've always disliked the black plastic grips on my Camper model Buckmark and since I'm going to shoot it quite a bit more once I out on my Gemtech suppressor, I thought I should class it up a bit...

Wood grips just feel better in the hand somehow. I've tried rubber, fake ivory, plastic, and keep coming back to plain old wood grips, especially on the 1911s.
When I had the Baby Kimber bobtailed, I tried for a while to find grips that I liked. Finally settled on these, in a slimline persuasion. I'd have saved a bunch of money if I'd gone with these first.
