Any Coonan Owners Here?

Post by Darrell »

I've been pondering a BAG Day gun, nothing else really strikes my fancy. Any Coonan owners here? Are they all that and a bag of chips? Reliable?

Do you have to buy one directly from Coonan? Are used ones for sale likely to be problematic? Any stories you'd care to share?

Thanks! :)

I almost bought one that was on consignment, but then I saw it had a cracked barrel bushing.

I know this doesn't help.

Gunbroker shows used ones on there from 1300 to almost 2 grand. A new one runs about 2 grand and change and takes at least a year to show up. Semi-drool warning

The one I handled at the SHOT show... 2? Years ago had a superb trigger. We ordered a few but I got angry when they missed, their delivery date, significantly, and canceled. (My custom builders, that I still use, don't miss deadlines. No excuse for it in manufacturing other than sloppiness/acts of God, etc)

I'd like to have a pair, but I've become very fond of my G41 as a carry piece.

That's neat Felix, thanks for posting the pics. Probably obsoleted by the 10mm Automatic, but still a neat gun.

My local range has one to rent, When it works it's awesome but sometimes it jams every 3-4 rounds. I think it might depend on what magazine they have with it.
