I'm with Fastrope on this one....
But I must ask, why the 1:7 twist? Gonna play with the 69+gr bullets?
The Model1Sales M-4 Kits are a whopping $550 with the chrome lined barrel. $510 without.
Add the YHM 4 rail foreend for $100 with the kit. And the upper comes assembled, a good thing.
A receiver $100
Magazines?
Ammo?
I guess if you must....
1:7 barrel....Yankee Hill $170

The optic that comes with the Sig rifle is not all that good. Find one without it and get a good red dot of some kind.

Yea, I plan on mostly shooting Mk262 equivalent (Black Hills commercial 77gr SMK BT and I plan on reloading to basically the same specs) since 6.5 or 6.8 rifles are not as easily obtainable or economical for the volume of practice I'd like to do.Whirlibird wrote: But I must ask, why the 1:7 twist? Did you have problems with one? Was it not holding zero or something? I was planning on using it as a stopgap til I can afford a TA31F ACOG sometime next year.Kommander wrote: The optic that comes with the Sig rifle is not all that good. Find one without it and get a good red dot of some kind.

They rolled this out at a company seminar/shoot a few months ago, and it's a lot better than and other red dot sight I've ever seen. I'm planning on getting one of these when I get enough money to start a TUBAR AR. Just an idea!
