For what its worth:
I've owned a SU-16B for four years and P3AT for over two years. I have put about 500 hundred rounds through both.
No feed problems with the P3AT (I only shoot hardball) but the SU-16B is picky on ammo types - lots of FTF's in the begining less as its been broken in. It did not like Wolf ammo.
I don't go anywhere with out the P3AT in my pocket either as my primary carry (summer time) or backup. ITs held up well.
I am not as happy with the SU-16B and would not recommend it as a first rifle or only .223. I don't think it would hold up under long term use. What I do like about it can be folded to a small package with a 20 round mag inserted and to 10's stored in stock. I keep it as a backup rifle for the SUV in "my get back home" bag.

I have a P3AT, which I carry in a pocket or IWB holster, both DeSanti. I've never had any problems with it, and it's exceedingly comfortable and reliable.

I bought my daughter one in 9mm about 4 years ago. She loves it.
Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.

I briefly owned a P3AT a few years ago (before some local choirboy stole it and tossed it into the lake). It was reliable, but quite uncomfortable to shoot for my big hands- the narrow grip and trigger tend to concentrate the recoil force. But reliable- I fired a few 102grn Golden Sabers through it without complaint.

thanks for the info everyone. what i am getting is that Kel-Tec has some pretty good handguns but their rifles may leave something to be desired, is that a fare assumption?
