Re: slump?
That is part of the problem. I would think there would be more activity though...

I don't know that it's that abnormal - the students among us are taking finals, and the holidays, etc. I seem to remember things usually slowing down around the holidays...
In good news, had our annual party this past weekend -- much champagne, beer, singing, and (during the day) lots of shooting -- no first time shooters, but we have convinced some of them to buy some more guns
Oh, GS-5 review to be posted elsewhere

Re: slump?
This forum seems to be behaving just like its two (or is it three?) predecessors did - there was a drop-off in activity around Thanksgiving, which will probably last till Christmas, then there will be a rash of "I got a new xxx for Christmas" posts, after which things will take off again. People are (over) busy with family and other activities this time of year, so I'd say it's normal.

Forgot about gundorks, seems like I was out of town, busy with work, or something and came back only to find that the forum had changed twice.

Doug Wojtowicz, aka Skaramine.
I think he's one of the funnier members to have graced this (and prior) forums. Apparently, he occasionally says stuff that gets him banned.

Meanwhile, I've been spending my spare time away from the computer, what with building a new guitar for a friend, playing bass for the church christmas program, refinishing a Browning 'humpback' semi-auto stock for my uncle, work in general, and a bit of writer's block.
