How many cities around the world could fall prey to a Mumbai-style attack? How many cities here in the United States? Could a similar attack happen in Seattle or San Diego, Miami or Manhattan?

These were the questions posed by FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III in an address before the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, D.C. last week.

The guy who sent me this article is currently in Iraq working for DynCorp as a police instructor. He thinks that a public school(aka victim disarmament zone) would be the likely target. He also thinks B.O. would use it as an excuse to create a national police force.

Hell yeah it could happen here. Frankly, I believe the only reason something like that hasn't happened in the past 8 years is the terrorists were scared of retaliation by Dubya.

Think they are scared of the same from Obama? No need to answer... rhetorical question.

I'd place this information under the "Well Duuuhhh!" category

so far they have been lone gunmen...

the Utah mall, the Seattle Jewish center, the guy that blew himself up outside the college football game...

but keep in mind that several plans were disrupted... the guys in SC, and the fort dix plot...

it is coming, and it will be devastating...

public schools... nahh... malls...

think about the devastation if you were to hit 100 malls across the nation with a 2 or 3 man team of gunmen all hitting at 1pm on sunday... not only would you have MASSIVE casualties from all the people that just got out of church... but you would literally give a death blow to the US retail market, perhaps permanently...

And Feinswine, Schumer and the Brady Bunch types are absolutely drooling about the prospect, just waiting to jump in up to their knees in the blood of the victims before the bodies even start cooling to use such an event to push their agenda.

Ignoring the fact that their type of laws are the set up for large pools of victims, and would do absolutely nothing to stop such an attack. Ensuring friendly and safe working conditions for the terrorists.

I don't carry all of the time. When I'm not, it's in the car. I always carry when going to the mall and movie theaters.

Carrying all the time to these two locations has me branded as paranoid by others and now the FBI finally owns up to the fact that a Mumbai style attack could and will probably happen in the U.S.

I should start packing the AR the trunk, but the risk of losing it to theft keeps me from doing it. The AK has risen in value so much that the risk is to great as well. Plus I would probably be the first one shot by LE due to my rifle.

SKS? Me thinks I need to review VA law on carrying it around in the trunk (err back of the SUV). I might only be the second one shot by LE with that one.

The FEDs and State should be enlisting and training us lowly citizens for this type of thing.

You can't get them to fund that training for LE, how are you going to get that funded for anyone else since the "stimulus" has gone through?
