KALAMAZOO -- Kalamazoo police say about 40 to 50 young males attacked a 50-year-old man riding a bicycle and beat him unconscious.

Police say the attack happened about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses say the attackers appeared to be teenagers.

The witnesses tell investigators some of the group knocked the man off his bike and began beating him. Police say he was hit in the head with a bottle and then kicked and punched as he lay in the street.

His bike was stolen but later recovered.

Police said Tuesday night they didn't yet have any suspects. They said the victim remained unconscious at Bronson Hospital.

40 to 50 "youths".

I'm thinking a belt-fed weapon.

Of course, once the first couple of shots rang out and the first target went down, how many of those 40 or 50 yoots would press the attack and how many would break and run at the first sign of active, fatal resistance?
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Bad guys: "You can't get us all!"

Victim: "Maybe not, but which of ya'll wants to be first?"

From my bail enforcement days...

Aryan nation douche: "The two of you can't take all of us!"

My partner upon recognizing the dominant personality adjusts aim and say:
"Maybe, but I'll get you cupcake."

Sounds like a scene from "The Fifth Element"

Corbin Dallas: "We need to figure out which one is the leader, Mangolores don't do anything without a leader."
Aknot: "Send in a negotiator or we start killing hostages!"
Dallas: "That's the leader."

Heck, my partner wasn't even the first to have said that. He heard it from our collective mentor who also used it on a white supremacist group, not sure which one though.

Although, as it turns out, when he told us the story with 'cupcake' at the end, that was embellishment, while my partner actually said it.

Great, beat up a guy who is already working a full plate without proper utensils.

Its bad enough if they try to jump one of us (fairly fully functional ;) ). But terrorizing someone who is physically, emotionally or mentally handicapped is just SO wrong. I guess it goes, under they know they can't properly fight back (have a gun). Bastards.

In Florida, the law says I can still use deadly force (as a bystander) to save the disabled guy.

Can you in your state?
