Plate Carrier

Need a little help finding a plate carrier. Mainly for nostalgia and the zombie apocalypse... 
Looking for something as close to the Magnum Tac-1 plate carrier for KDH. Would prefer one since it was issued. However they do not sell to private individuals. So closer I can get to it the better. Would very much appreciate it if you know anyone who does custom tailoring/modification if that might be required to get the carrier closer to the KDH carrier. In other words... I hate velcro with a passion and try to avoid it...
