Sorry that the cop died.

Surprised that he was the first one.

Makes one wonder at the ease of warrants, wisdom of no knock raids based on sketchy informant info, why he wasn't wearing a chest plate, why the trailer park resident is being hammered for defending himself against a home invasion?

I'm only sorry that his family suffer such a loss, but the cop dying in this case or one like it is both predictable and instructional, hopefully the beginning of the end for this jackassical perversion of the justice system.

If not, he's merely one of the first few names on what will grow to be a large granite wall, and another "just following orders" minion of the most current ilk of anti-constitutional JBTs.

I wouldn't stoop to carrying signs of protest at his funeral, but in the grand scheme of things, he had it coming, and he's one less that will need to be shot later on unless sanity breaks out in both federal courts and police planning rooms in short order.

Under the felony murder law, the officer who decided upon the no-knock warrant should be the one sitting under bond for murder, not the schlub whose door they ripped into at 4AM and flashbanged. If that officer was also the victim, O happy day.

BTW, he bears a striking resemblance to the donut-shaped cop in the psych hospital in Terminator 2.

After all, they should AT LEAST READ THE WARRANTS before signing them off!!! For the most part, they've become FAR TOO MUCH a *RUBBER STAMP* operation!!

I pretty much figure if your department is using a SWAT team to go after some hillbilly in a trailerpark with a couple of pot plants, you've already passed the "low-hanging fruit", and are now dumpster-diving for some excuse to prove relevancy.

There isn't much beyond this other than noise abatement and overdue library books.

Yet again, if making the arrest was the point, they could have GPS'ed his car, and taken him down with a handful of Chick-Fil-A, then served the warrant at noon on an empty trailer, and everyone goes home alive.

Some people are incapable of working smart. Plus, it doesn't give you good headlines, or jackassical bragging rights. Just that everyone (to include your offender) is safe at the end of the day.
