Future Spec Ops warrior.

Post by Termite »

A 9-year-old boy fought back against two robbers who broke into his family's home in Brooklyn Monday, slamming a bedroom door against one suspect's arm so hard that the loaded gun he was holding fell to the floor, police said.

The boy then picked up the weapon and fired shots, scaring off the would-be robbers.

The robbers entered the house on 80th Street in Canarsie at about 6 p.m. and ordered two teenagers inside to get on the floor, according to police.

The only other person in the house was the boy, who was upstairs.

When one of the suspects ran upstairs and tried to get into a second-floor bedroom, the 9-year-old boy slammed the door on the suspect's arm, causing him to drop the gun.

The boy then picked up the gun and fired it at the suspect,
according to police. No one was hit, but the home invaders quickly ran out of the house.

Police are searching for the suspects. The boy and the teenagers are said to be OK.

Little background...

Canarsie is a pretty decent, safe, low crime middle class heavily Italian neighborhood. It borders, in a couple of places, some shady, melanin-enhanced dangerous high-crime areas, including a couple of different housing projects.

This sort of thing is not especially new or rare. I'll wager at very good odds that I can predict the skin colors of the people in the house, and the 'suspects'. Hint: the suspects were not actually described.

Italians getting violent about fighting off black people coming into their neighborhoods to steal shit is a decades long NYC tradition.

Oh and those teenaged inside the house are *never* going to live this down.

I hope that young man's recruiter has him on a list of future prospects. Well done, young warrior.

A little different story from FoxNews.com:
New York boy, 10, grabs intruder's gun, fires shot
Published June 04, 2013 | Associated Press

NEW YORK – A 10-year-old Brooklyn boy picked up a gun that was dropped by a would-be robber dressed as a delivery man and fired a shot, police said Tuesday. No injuries were reported.

Two men in disguise knocked on the door to the house at around 5:30 p.m. Monday, and two teenage sisters opened the door, police said. The intruders pushed past them and went upstairs to the second floor. A 40-year-old woman, the owner of the home, slammed a bedroom door on one of the would-be robber's arms.

The suspect dropped his gun, police said, and it was picked up by the owner's 10-year-old son, who fired a round that hit a wall.
Police said one of the suspects fired back, but no one was hit and the men fled the home without stealing anything.

The home was located in Canarsie, a south Brooklyn residential neighborhood that ends at the Jamaica Bay.

Police are investigating. There were other kids in the home at the time, but police said they didn't witness anything.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Not necessarily different, just sloppy writing/reporting. I'm sure it was the slamming of the door that caused him to drop the gun. That makes more sense than "he just dropped it."
