How Many Reloads When You CCW?

Since I'm going back to my revolver, I've been rethinking this kind of thing, lately. Generally, I try to carry two reloads, be it a magazine or speed loader. If circumstances/wardrobe do not allow it, I will still always have at least one. It is generally loose in my pocket, since those belt carrier things only advertise that you are packing.

How many do you generally carry?

How are they carried? Loose in your pants pocket? In a jacket pocket? In one of those magazine/speed loader belt carriers?

Minimum of one reload, often 2.

For my BHP I carry a spare mag on a belt pouch when using the IWB holster, and 2 in the offside carrier when using my shoulder holster. 2 because there are 2 compartments and the weight of 2 mags helps balance the weight of the pistol on the other side.

When carrying a J Frame (usually in a pocket holster) I carry 2 reloads in a belt pouch that looks like cellphone/camera case. (My actual cell phone is usually in a shirt pocket)

I try to never carry re-loads loose in pockets. I what to be sure where they are when they are needed, and to ensure they stay on my person.

Taurus Trackers in 357 or 44 Tracker and just 5 or 7 loose rounds .

I normally carry one extra magazine on me, and one more in the car/truck. Depending on how I'm dressed, I may stick the spare magazine in a back pocket, or use a nylon Schrade knife case on my belt.

Not very fancy, but functional.

It depends. Usually 1 speedloader or mag; but sometimes none, if I'm wearing shorts and carrying the P32. In that case, extra mags would be in my car.

My 5.11 pants have concealed pockets that hold two full-sized magazines apiece.

None on me and one in the truck. In light of the recent shootings, I have renewed my determination to carry the majority of the time. The suggestions on this forum touting the Crossbreed holsters led me to get one for my Sig 239. Jeans and tucked in tee shirt are now possible and at least not too uncomfortable. I really like it a lot. Left side has cell phone and one pocket knife on clip, pistol is carried on right side and and that's it.

It depends and my job makes it a felony to carry on campus...so I am usually down to a 3" blade at work.

When not at work I have been doing the G-22 and the p3AT "detroit reload" more often than not.
I am about 30% of the time carrying a full mag on the weak side with the G-22.

In the truck, always have a Sub 2000 with a mag in it, two more mags (interchangeable with the G-22) and another mag for the P3AT. For some reason, yesterday I also noticed 3 rounds of .223 floating loose in the ammo storage area of the truck. weird

One spare magazine. And that's really more because if a semiauto fails, it's usually the magazine.

I'd probably carry at least one reload in a speed something if I carried a revolver, just because more is better.

If I were able to carry concealed in Illinois without upstate politicians voiding their bowels and thus requiring my immediate arrest for insulting the personages of my betters, I'd carry two speed loaders for my S&W649 in an old cellphone case. It's not perfect but it worked nice in a few IPSC side matches where we used only pocket guns. The extra case on my belt looks like a business phone right next to my regular phone. The only drawback to it is that it won't work with the speed loaders if I load them with .357 Magnum ammo, just .38 Special. If I use .357 I have to angle them into the pouch and there's no guarantee the case will still snap shut.

Still, it's nice to have something that'll hold a couple of reloads in a relatively safe manner if Illinois ever allows CCW.
