You mean the two different spellings of the location in the same article?
PULLAYUP, Wash. -- A retired Puyallup police officer shot and killed a man who was attempting to break into his home Wednesday afternoon.
Who's proofing these articles before going to press/publishing? Apparently NO ONE.

Reminds me of that old Mariners commercial.

"I took my geoduck to Puyallup!"

Sorry, I didn't read the article -- just reacted to the street number (used to live in the area and buddy was killed by Craiglists "buyer" home invasion there a couple years ago).

Who needs a human proofreader when there's spell check?

Spelling Puyallup isn't usually the problem. Pronouncing it is.

Prices inside the Western WA State Fair at Puyallup being what they are, a man from Eastern Washington stops at a burger joint along the road before going on into the fair.

As he pays for his meal he asks the local kid at register, "So how do you pronounce the name of this place?"

Kid looks at him sort of puzzled and says slowly "Burrrr-gerrrrr King."
