Man robbed in own garage

Post by 308Mike »

Linkarooni - I am posting this specifically for those who believe many victims do things or otherwise advertise themselves as targets. This guy was in his garage when robbed, he wasn't coming out of a store after flashing a wad of cash, he didn't *just* arrive home after being followed home from the bank after making a large withdrawal of cash, he was just doing things in his garage when the robbers figured he'd make a nice victim (or so - too damned bad he didn't pull out a double-barrel coach gun and unload both barrels into the robbing asshole).

Any bets that the suspect is here illegally??

PARADISE HILLS — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Paradise Hills resident who was in his garage Sunday afternoon.

The robber entered the victim’s garage at his home on Keen Drive near Hutton Avenue just before 2 p.m. and demanded the man’s wallet, police said. The resident did not respond, so the robber threatened him with a screwdriver before grabbing the wallet out of the resident’s pants and fleeing in a dark-colored two-door Honda or Mazda sedan, authorities said.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot 6-inch tall Hispanic man, weighing 135 pounds and wearing a black fedora, dark jacket, dark pants and a black bandanna over his face.

Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to call the San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2000.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

In his garage? Must be one of those "urban metro male" garages. Even if I couldn't reach my gun, I have a choice of one of more of the following at easy arm's length at all times.

* pick axe handle
* hand axe
* 18" monkey wrench
* 18" Crescent wrench
* several lengths of conduit
* several chunks of 2x4

* 5lb-ish blacksmith's hammer
* 20lb sledgehammer
* several ball peen hammers
* one honkin' big wood chisel (that I bought for $2 at a flea market because it was cool)
* a couple big assed pipe wrenches
* rake, edger, ice scraper, multiple shovels
* multiple hunks of 2x4

No wonder there's no room for the CAR.

Not to mention if I'm spending any amount of time in my garage it's because I'm CLEANING MY GUNS (Hoppe's give the wife headaches).

tough neighborhood. If the Philipino gangs aren't your trouble, then Mexican and Black gangs are.

then use G-96 / Ed's red / something that isn't Hoppes.

My tile kitchen floor is the preferred cleaning location, especially since the workbench has reloading stuff bolted to it and multiple rifles fit on the floor not on the workbench. :lol:

I guess you would need access to your sword/foil more than your firearms.

I should say that just about any solvent that will clean my guns bothers my wife. I don't mind cleaning in the garage, and I don't need to worry if I spill something on the floor.
