Will stop other cities from using it? Probably not.The Sheriff's Office began encountering glitches, mostly because the system was picking up noises such as firecrackers or a backfiring car and registering those sounds as gunfire. The sensors were also triggered by helicopters and the roar of downshifting trucks from nearby Interstate 95.
That may be true in your state, but not in mine!308Mike wrote:I can see a huge increase in the use of suppressors even though they're illegal.
The chance of them using this crap in your state is pretty remote in the first place. GOOD FOR YOU (and BAD for us - just another waste of taxpayer's money)!!!AlaskaTRX wrote:That may be true in your state, but not in mine!308Mike wrote:I can see a huge increase in the use of suppressors even though they're illegal.
I've been trying for quite a while to find one (or more) pictures of their microphone sensors, but have been unable to find any so far.Netpackrat wrote:So, is there a picture of what those sensors look like out there? Wont necessarily work. It was tried here, and the authorities just went out in the press and said that they'd keep replacing them, and it would just waste more tax money, money that would otherwise be spent on programs that are actually useful. And it wasn't a problem to the people installing them, they got paid regardless, and the more they had to replace them, the more money they made.Netpackrat wrote:So, is there a picture of what those sensors look like out there?
