Linkarooni - they're damn lucky he wasn't CCW with a .45! I wonder if they've been cured of their purse snatching ways (unless the woman is alone)? They probably won't victimize someone with their boyfriend ever again.

SAN DIEGO — Two men trying to rob a pedestrian in Mission Beach of her purse were stabbed Sunday by the woman’s boyfriend.
The men approached the couple on Ocean Front Walk near Belmont Park just before 1 a.m., San Diego police said.
They grabbed her bag and tried to take it but the boyfriend took out a knife and stabbed both of them several times, police said.
The men were taken to a hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening wounds.

The intended victims are also lucky their attackers turned out to be a couple of pussies.

when the Cmdr and I were walking down Venice Beach a few weeks ago, we got 'aggressively pan-handled'. Dirtball walking beside us, talking crap, telling us that he was going to follow us all day and annoy us unless I gave him a buck. I put myself between the hobo and her, and just ignored it. Then he made the comment 'call the cops, they won't do anything'.
At which point the Cmdr said 'He's not going to give you any money. And
he won't be the one calling for the cops'.
'Oh.'

followed by an about-face and retreat.

See Fill, that's the beauty of open carry...
The panhandlers still ask you for money, but the second they see the 1911 on your hip, they stand up straight and politely address you as "sir". Then if you decline to give them anything, they politely thank you for your time.

When I first moved to AZ, ~ 1993, there was a story in the paper about a couple who were involved in a road rage altercation on their way from the wedding to the reception. Some guy took a shot at them, at which point they both drew weapons and returned fire.
My kinda state.

Then the only reason I can think of why you're back in CA is because of work, either that or family ties - CERTAINLY NOT due to the politics of its erected ofals!
