The general situation is simply that public schools in general are a lost cause, unsalvageable. Run by drones, staffed by leftist incompetents, maintained at steeply increasing public cost by decreasing numbers of taxpayers in the workforce, they have become the black hole of sense and money. The public education system is broken. Sure, there are a few examples of the opposite case but they are the exception, not the rule.

If at all humanly possible get your children out of public school and into an alternative. When my children attended public school during the 80's-early 90's it was bad. It is infinitely worse now. We grandparents are now assisting our childrens' families to assure our grandchildren aren't ruined by the raw sewage that public schools now pump and revel in.
