I bet it's more expensive than having a lot of cleaning products, 15 acres of land and a friend with a backhoe
All my life I been in the dog house
I guess that just where I belong
That just the way the dice roll
Do my dog house song

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

First? No. Almost immediately after the police? Hell yeah! A good lawyer will ask if you called the police(or if he's really good he'll give you HTRN's number to help you hide the body :D ), Then he'll do you the biggest favor in your life...Tell you to "KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT". Even if you live in a good castle doctrine/no retreat state, there is still a chance of running afoul of a prick DA. The last thing you want to do is give a statement while adrenalin is still flowing in your veins and don't really know full well what the hell just happened yourself.
A piece of advice i'll always remember from my carry class was after your basic statement (something along the lines of, "i felt threatened for my life, i drew my weapon and fired.") is to immediately request medical attention. The police officer that taught the class explained the logic like this. No police officer will deny you medical attention for fear that if you truly needed it and didn't get it your family would own their police department. Given the situation, one of the first things the EMT's will do is give you a shot of some drug to calm you down. Once that happens, the police wont question you because you are under the influence of a drug, they know it and so you are not competent to understand/waive your rights in that condition. This gives you time for you and your lawyer to sit down once you've calmed down to write a concise statement for the police.
JAG: So why do you need armor piercing ammo?
tcourtplayer: Zombies
JAG: For when they hide behind engine blocks?
tcourtplayer: Just because the movies say they will be dumb and slow doesn't make it true.
JAG: WOW!!!

Hill barged into the home at around 3 a.m. after Brown responded to a knock at the front door...
Don't answer the door at 3 a.m. PERIOD. She should have already got her pink .38 and asked what the hell they wanted through the closed door.
Hell, I've answered the door with Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson at 11 pm when I was already expecting someone harmless!
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

The more legs this story grows that don't detract from the 'helpless woman kills crazed convict' part of the story, the better.

And she's hot enough that low morals increase her attractiveness.
So much for the Beauty Queen's ubiquitous wish for "Peace on Earth" line.

Here's the Armed Citizen blog at the American Rifleman magazine online, where they publish a couple incidents from each months magazine list.
