I don't use .45 ACP for a defensive round, but I do run a few rounds through my bigger-caliber bottom feeder to make sure they will "ingest" the various flat-nose and wad-cutter rounds I reload for them. I plan to get some EFMJ bullets and give them a try.

(My bedside handgun is a revolver loaded with HP, but then a revolver will shoot just about anything. The wife's "social work" handgun is a 15-round 9mm bottom feeder - she uses some old Black Talon hollow points....)
