They both sound delicious, if you ask me...
I was at the grocer's the other day and got a screaming deal on some wild-boar prosciutto - they had it in the luxury/gift department for Christmas, and were selling off the last quarter cheap. It will go nicely as a winter salad with some good smoked buffalo mozarella and maybe a few ripe imported figs (with a honey-mustard vinaigrette, if I can get nice figs.)
I had to go to NDT training for work recently, and one of the guys taking the class was a jackass southern redneck who wanted to find a way to get some hogs up here so he could release them. I just about came unglued.

You should also serve some fava beans...with a nice chianti. <makes gross slurping sound>
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Sorry man, I didn't think anyone would mind. Otherwise, I would have kept my mouth shut...

Explain. Does AK have some goofy law about not taking your gun into a bank? If so they are more anti-gun than I thought up there.

Sorry, my mistake. There did used to be such a law, but it appears that banks were removed from the list of places where carry is not allowed. Our carry laws have changed so much in the last 15-20 years that it is easy to forget a particular point that has been repealed. On the other hand, all of the banks have signs saying that no firearms are allowed, so I'm not sure if that just falls under trespass laws, or what. There used to be a provision in the CCW laws allowing signs to be hung making places off limits, as long as the sign met certain specifications as to size and contents, but that was also repealed, so I'm not sure where that leaves the signs on the banks and at places like Costco. The "handgunlaw.us" website has something in the Alaska section about "no guns" signs having the force of law, but I can't find anything about them in the state statutes.
Either way, I can't think of any good reason not to use the drive through as opposed to standing in line in the lobby.

I don't know how well hogs would make it thru the winter up there. And, you also have wolves and grizzlies that would find Mister Pig rather tasty, and a lot easier to kill than a moose.
Still, I don't think you want feral hogs introduced up there. They breed like crazy if there's enough forage.
