That's what I was about to say. We don't have to wonder what the urban masses would do, we already received that lesson via Katrina. Those with a lick of sense will bug out to a predetermined spot (most likely family) BEFORE being told to do so with emergency gear in hand.

The rest will be split between the wanderers and the waiters (as in those waiting for help). The wanderers might survive, as they might find someone willing to take them in for work; the waiters most likely not. Either groups are incredibly dangerous as they will be the most desperate (and feel the most entitled, of course).

I'd most definitely rather bug in, if only because it's easier to defend territory you already occupy. I DON'T want to be trying to take from others in order to live, or living on anyone else's good graces.

MB - well said.......
One secret to life. Step #1 - Find something you enjoy doing. Step #2 - Find someone foolish enough to pay you to do it.

It seems now that this group is pretty self reliant, and stay where you are, seems to be the general consensus. I wonder how the huddled masses would react.............
Badly unfortunately, remember most of us here are ants , and most city dwellers/ and a majority of the world are are grasshoppers.
Also we are angry/armed ants
You live and learn.
