As it happens, the place we're moving to is sandwiched between the Selkirk range, and the Bitterroot range.

I've always thought that Idaho looked somewhat like a pope's mitre hat (or a Dunce's cap) and I put you down in the brow region not in the peak area...
A couple, who used to be very good friends of ours moved into the Selkirks a decade ago and started a pack train business (4,8,12,24 or 48 hr trips) for "Eco tourists", primarily photographers, and were doing quite well at it last we heard, Xmas card...Figured they'd move into an area named after her family from a town named after him (Robt. Simpson, Earl of Selkirk)...
