The 40 to 50 'youths' were black and the victim was 1/2 white, 1/2 native american, however, police say "the attack wasn't racially motivated".

That is fucking criminal. As for LA we support the use (out side of New Orleans) using deadly force in protection of others. The only qualification is that the person you are defending would have the legal right to defend themselves, they need not have the ability. As for beating a handicapped person, I strongly support creating 40 or 50 new cripples, shortly before creating 40 or 50 new corpses.
