Good for them, although she might want to upgrade her piece a bit and they both need to work on their muzzle discipline.

My Grandmother lived on a different private street about two blocks from there. Lovely homes and neighborhood but an absolute sh*t show not too far away.

Well good I suppose but... arrggghhh.

The cost in time and legal action is wrong. The loss of the firearms is secondary to that.

Seems the protestors got off scott free -- no cost for harassment. That which gets rewarded gets repeated.

That they managed to Squeel out of it without jail time, which the prosecutor seemed hell bent on....

Probably was but also limited in options. Not particularly likely the prosecutor wins anything serious at trial but she promised to prosecute them, so she gets this. On the other side, the couple avoids risking disaster if lightning strikes.

Also, he is running for office and can potentially use this as a lever, so win/win.

Gotta play a long game here. How to move the ball from here in St Louis?

the prosecutor has been outted and looks pathetic. How can that be capitalized on?

Is there any civil remedy for this couple against the couple. If there is any, it would be expensive and likely a bit like windmill tilting but would like to game that out at least for a ponder. If there is a path that could be pursued could it be crowdfunded. The opposition needs to be entangled in court -- not just free to run through the streets. Divide their attention maybe with litigation?

Other ideas? Wild hairs?

Well, it comes back to priority #1 for a DA: their Win loss record. Losing such a high profile case would pretty much guarantee bad news come election time..
