FL Homeowner Shoots and Kills Teenage Burglar Who Tried to Steal Multiple Firearms
February 20 2014
by Dan Cannon
A Florida homeowner was required to use deadly force to defend himself inside of his own home when he returned home for lunch.
When the homeowner returned home, he found a 16 year old intruder in his home. The suspect was laying out firearms on a sheet in preparation of stealing them.
According to WPEC-TV,
- “Went inside and noticed there’s a young male juvenile he didn’t recognize,” said Capt. Dave Bernhardt with West Palm Beach Police. “He was taking some firearms and laying them on a sheet to get ready to steal them.”
Police say the teenage intruder pointed a weapon at the homeowner, they fought, and the homeowner shot the suspect two or three times.
“He was in fear for his life with firearms, someone he doesn’t know there in his house stealing guns,” said Capt.Bernhardt.
It’s not clear if the homeowner managed to gain control of a firearm that was in the home or if he was carrying a firearm on his person.
While the teenage suspect has not been identified, it has been confirmed that he had a prior criminal history and was currently on probation for previous crimes.
This is the 100th defensive gun use we’ve documented in the state of Florida and the 1,073rd defensive gun use we’ve documented overall.

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Cue the family's response that their little cupcake was in there making sure the gentleman had clean firearms. Snowflake would NEVER do anything illegal. The man should be charged with murder, stand your ground laws are evil. /s

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Actually, I concur, it shouldn't be news, except to trumpet the mayor giving the homeowner the keys to the city and the thanks of grateful citizenry for saving them untold thousands of dollars in trial and incarceration costs.

This is never asked of the thugs. How odd.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
