And yet again, the retard blow-dry newsreaders refer to a guy shot point-blank in the head by the cop while holding a knife to a toddler's throat, and seen from security videocam commiting the crime in progress, as a "suspect".

Dear Newsholes: a guy with a suddenly new window into his head in that situation is a kidnapping bastard. There's no "suspicion" of a crime, there's a presumption of guilt, unless someone wants to argue that after the muzzle of the Glock was held to one guy's head, the bullet inexplicably spat out sideways, and flew around the store looking for someone to strike when it randomly hit Sumdood.

And once again, random insaniac is free to walk the streets, while average people have to wonder which shred of human debris will decide today is a good day to die, and take their 2-year old with him.

But nice shooting to Capt. Huff. Excellent technique for eliminating the aiming problem: muzzle to temple.

It's also worth pointing out that they tried to talk him down, etc. IOW, did what they could to resolve it as peacefully as possible.

But sometimes the other side doesn't want it to end peacefully (Suicide by Cop perhaps?), so you do what you need to do. Good job officer.

If nothing else the negotiations should be good fodder for the inevitable civil suit by the family of the choir boy who was just turning his life around when he made a mistake.

The only thing that would have made this story better would have been if the mother had a CCW and popped the goblin herself.

I think this guy was just a big bag of crazy. The cop in question was identified as a captain, and he only drew down and capped Larry Looneytunes when he pressed the knife to the toddler's neck and he was in fear the kid was about to get whacked, after 2 hours of attempted de-escalation. Which, for all anyone else knows, was two hours of listening to him ramble on about the space aliens in his head.
