Granny Dies Defending Granddaughter

Post by skb12172 »

I'm sure she won't have to buy the first round in Valhalla. A true warrior who died in defense of her own...and unarmed, at that!

There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Good thing too, that story makes me think human trafficking.
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom,...Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you...; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

Sounds like it. Too bad she didn't have a .45 on her.

a .22 would've done the trick. plugging holes takes precedence over snatching girls.

I should rephrase that, it's not a good thing this happened, but I'm glad the girl didn't get snatched. What happens to victims of human trafficking doesn't bear thinking on. I'm glad she had a hero of a grandma who acted, she had to have a pretty good idea how it would play out.

If we had a government worth a damn, this guy and his buddies would be a side party for her.

The guy who tried to do the grab was later killed in a shootout. No word on his conspirators.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

Damn shame he didn't die earlier... (Sometimes I get that "duty to defend yourself, to prevent subsequent harm to others" bit - I think from something Mrs. Byrne wrote.)
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our Fortunes, & our sacred Honor

A gentleman unarmed is undressed.
