Virtual Blade?

I don't know quite what to think about this? I'd like to Wi this more than I would a first person shooter but trying to duplicate balance and inertia feel??

I guess it depends on how you make it. The easiest solution would be to have a "real" dummy sword, but I think that would be impractical indoors. But adding weight to the control handle would make it fairly realistic. If the weight and the balance is similar to a real sword, I think it might get fairly close to handling the real thing even without a longer blade..?
