Depends, I guess, on how many of those curls you do in a day?
Many years ago (25?), I found an archery training device--basically a large rubber band with two handholds made of dense plastic that you draw back and hold--that works quite well at keeping my muscle memory and strength up during the off season (7 months or winter)… It feels like about a 40# draw weight but I can’t remember exactly…
I have just gotten back to using it now that if I strain it won't rip my stomach apart…I started working up to it by holding a full aluminium Coke can out for a time---
You could always sell those three bows you have and buy the one you want! What kind, make, length, draw length (D/xx) and weight of draw (W/xxx) are they? You might have a buyer right here?
We’re replacing our destroyed modern recurves with new ones from a local bowyer with whom we’re friends with from the local 3D range (and a friendly shooting competitor against)…I’m non of us are anywhere near good enough to compete seriously but it does make for excellent exercise and of course practice for hunting…First is archery, followed by BP & crossbow and then by highpower rifle, the three hunting seasons we have here and it all adds to the larder…I’m just doing BP & HP rifle this year but will go after rabbits and squirrels with the bow in early winter, on snowshoes, in –10F but sunny day…
We have a carbon arrow and a second high density crossbow rated butt set up next to the pellet trap of our 10M air rifle/pistol range we built in the basement and the girls and I will shoot down there both archery and airgun...As we can only get 12.5M maximum so we compete by shooting at smaller bullseyes...The hanging clothes in the closet also hinders our shooting prowess as we can only achieve that distance by getting into the storage closet and by either kneeling our crouched down as standing puts a cold air return in your face…
