Announcing SC Carry

Since it appears that there is not a functional SC gun rights organization, I am happy to announce that today marks the beginning of SC Carry.
I have been considering this for a while now and decided to pull the trigger finally. I have already spoken with people from FL Carry, GA Carry and CT Carry as well as people from the SAF for guidance, and help. I also have contacts with other groups that I intend to seek out.
I have also already started the process of seeking out tax advice for filing as a 501(c) tax exempt non-profit. Additionally there are thoughts of both an educational side of this organization as well as a lobbying arm.
If there are any issues that I should be aware of, anything that should be looked at or anything I seem to be doing wrong, please call me out on it.
Please note, I have looked at some of the stories about GrassRoots SC, information seems to be hard to come. After lengthy discussions with other people in the industry, I decided that the best route was to simply start anew and not try to involve myself or the name of this organization in the politics of what appears to have happened in the past. This is not about any one person, this is about gun rights for all in SC.
I will likely be needing involvement of others in the future, if you are willing to help, please let me know. I do plan on having heavy involvement in this forum and others as I believe that the internet is the best way to get the issues that need to be addressed out to the public at large.
With all of this said, I hope to have SCCarry.org and Southcarolinacarry.org up and functional soon.
