They're still flying Hunters? The father of one of my high school classmates flew them in the Indian Air Force, and that was in the early 1970s.

And they were long in the tooth even then. They're
subsonic.
But it was an airshow. They have Sopwith Camels at airshows.

Wow, I went to that air show summer of 2000. I still have the souvenirs I bought.

One story I read referred to the Hawker Hunter as a "vintage" aircraft.

And the knee-jerk pussified Britistan approach to all such problems is unleashed at the speed of a healthy bowel movement...
Apparently in the future, if they ask really nice, they'll let the owners drive the planes around on trailers, but only at a low rate of speed, towed by electric tractors that recharge by the photosynthesis of sustainable algae farms, once the planes are swathed in 5' of bubble wrap, and only after erecting a 30' tall intervening hay bale wall to protect bystanders. If it doesn't upset anyone.
Latest estimates of total number of residents there with a functioning set of testicles is a fraction of the population no longer calculable on a handheld calculator.
