Excellent
I liked the phrase about finding a way to "terminate the beam at the end of it's path" - whoever wrote that can't have the slightest inkling of what he was asking. It would involve finding a way to cheat some of the most fundamental laws of nature. It's almost the same as suggesting it would be nice if the US air forces next fighter had interstellar drive and a cloaking device

I kinda figured that was more akin to Cooper's Fourth Rule.

Isn't that already being done, I mean by definition of the end of its path IS already terminated, otherwise it wouldn't be the end, right?
