The Swedish news agency TT reported that the man killed was also a Swedish citizen. Swedish officials confirmed that a Moroccan Swede suspected of al-Qaida ties was killed in early October but declined to elaborate. They also said he was on the U.N. and the EU terror watch lists.

Yeah, that's the big story in Sweden now. He'd been on the security police's radar since 1996, and on the watch list, but they reportedly lost track of him in 2006. At that time he had been doing the rounds for a few years in the media claiming how he was innocent, and never did anything wrong, etc..etc...

The easiest thing is to find it already posted somewhere on the Internet and then use their image and post it with the IMG tags. I'm not sure why it shows some pics and not others when attached and placed inline.

It is hotlinking and usually considered poor netiquette, at least it was in the past when bandwidth was at a much higher premium and everyone's pipes were smaller. Lately, much of the various forum software I've seen is setup by default to allow and accept hotlinking with the option to disable it.

As long as you're not being a leech off a site by hotlinking a ton of their images, few seem to care much anymore as long as you're not rude about it. Attitudes change and I haven't kept current on what's the latest in the tech world.

i havent seen anyone complain about it in a year or so... the only exception being stuff like Michael Yons photos and other news items like that...

The real problem isn't so much hotlinking, it's gigaloaderlike attacks.

Personally, I'm amazed apps like Black widow and Vampire aren't more widespread.

it happens a lot more than that... they loose sometimes 4 or 5 #2 guys a month... sometimes they will nail someone before he even gets promoted...
