Soldiers and families at Fort Bragg, N.C., will receive more than 850 free, live pine trees for Christmas.
In a team effort, FedEx and the National Christmas Tree Association’s Christmas Spirit Foundation will distribute the trees, according to a news release from Fort Bragg Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
For the fourth consecutive year, Christmas tree growers and retailers nationwide have donated real Christmas trees to the military. This year, Trees for Troops will deliver 16,000 trees to bases across the U.S. and overseas, the release said.
At Bragg, the trees will be distributed on post Dec. 4 at noon from the NCO Club parking lot on Reilly Road on a first-come basis.
The trees will not be held for later pick-up, so those lucky enough to get one should be prepared to take it home on the spot.
Trees for Troops is open to active duty soldiers and their families only, the release said.

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
