Lego My Glock, Eh?

I dunno if you want to file this here or move it to the gun section, Chris...

Canuck cops go batsh*t over a Lego Glock.

"Perp's" version here:
“Guys, seriously? It’s Lego. It’s in a box—in pieces I might add—by my desk at the front.” Two SWAT members kept me firmly pressed against the wall, while the others went into the office in search of the so-called weapon.

“We found it…. it’s Lego.”

And with that, I was uncuffed.

I certainly can’t knock the police for how they responded, I mean the toy certainly looks legit. However, it wasn’t like I was walking around downtown with it. I didn’t actually do anything with it, but someone thru a window saw me assembling it and they called the police. From afar I can see how it would look legit, although I certainly wasn’t waving it around.
Could've been worse, of course, but nevertheless, I think that I'll refrain from playing cowboys and indians in the Great White North...

But would they have responded in such force and so quickly if, as they arrived, there was the sound of gunfire from within the building? Would they have had the cojones to stop a Columbine-style massacre in progress? If the won't run to the sound of gunfire, they have no business being in uniform and carrying firearms themselves. There is no risk to come down like a ton of bricks (sorry) if it's for a complaint of someone assembling a gun-shaped thing from Legos.

All the recent press has them backordered 4-6 weeks now though.
