TS Fay

Post by Cybrludite »

What, something not related to Georgia?

Looks like it's trending more east than before. Needless to say, we're glad to see it not heading west towards us around here. Best of luck to those who are in the path. Even a Tropical Storm packs a pretty good wallop.

I'm sitting here in Jacksonville, FL. Waiting for the lights to go out. Fay should arrive within the next 24 hours or so. But I expect that by the time it gets here, it's not going to be much of a storm. I've got water, food, and all my camping supplies available, so I should do alright. Just really rotten timing. I'm in the middle off a move, so half my personal belongings are still over at the old apartment.

If any of our members are located in the South/Central area of Florida, good luck and watch out for falling trees.

I'm in Lakeland, FL. Hurricanes are fun. Lots of people scrambling around doing last minute preparations.

Fortunately, the extent of my "last minute preparation" was wheeling out the generator, and firing it up as a test.

It's been a while since we've had a good hurricane around here, but hey, it's Florida.

I'm sitting in Sanford- a lot of mild wind, but not a whole lot of rain.

In fact, I'm going to name the Fake-n-backer bass I just finished last night after Fay.

I doubt it will, but it couldn't hurt to try. I've got a date tomorrow to go shooting at an outdoor range, followed by attending a catered picnic put on by her union, so it's probably my fault the storm is heading this way.
