I am not sure why the freak out:
First off, there was a good chance that he was in part https://www.timesofisrael.com/lapid-den ... ish-blood/
And of course, who cares? I don't see how it changes anything. It isn't even clear that he knew assuming that it is true.
It isn't even all that remarkable. There are lots of people who are part Jewish (Russian, German, Asian, Black, whatever) without knowing it. It means nothing.
