IIRC, US is still a net energy exporter, so all Uncle Joe has to do to drop gas prices (maybe before November) is to do an executive order to ban energy exports.

Part of the strength of the US is it's petroleum processing capability. It looks like these pipelines are a bigger part of that picture than I thought.
