Post by HTRN »

The makers of the p80 80% frames have been raided, customer.lists sized, and reportedly the BATFE has started paying visits to customers...

Read that its due to their complete kits that included everything to build a gun, with the 80% frame. ATF has decided that even though the frame is still an 80% it constitutes selling a firearm and requires a serial number and all legal operations.

Bullshit of course. They are going on a power rampage again.

Does that mean that the BATFE burners of women and children are going to start raiding hardware stores?

If people are mass buying, building and selling 80% guns, that is already against the law. Go after them. But that requires work and leaviing the desk and dealing with ikky people. Polymer80 has a fixed address and they will be quiet and not fight back if raded - so that is where they go. It is just bureaucratic laziness.
It's much worse than that, it's making a public example as a lesson to others. Though I suspect these are in the wrong thread.

Yes, WTF, how did this end up here? I was not even reading this one (I am sure operator error, but odd.)

This is why you buy this stuff in person with cash.

Of course, with stuff like fosscad, Ender 3s, Cura, and the MacDaddy project, they're trying to close the barn door after the horses have left.

Is there validity that they are picking up the build a gun kits from end users as evidence?
