Looking for historical parallels

My liberal, immigrant sister is law appears to hate America. Why did she become a citizen, right?

Anyway, she's trolling my family on FB, commenting positively on statue destruction, book cancelling, history erasing, etc.

I'm trying to compile a list of links to use to illustrate that history rhymes. For instance, she said,
I'll totally join you if they try to burn books.
So, I said,
The actual burning of books was demagogic symbolism to ramp up enthusiasm to erase the books and the authors from society. It was an early form of "cancelling."

This is essentially the same thing just less exciting to watch because they consciously avoided the negative connotations of the actual flames:

Does anyone have other links to book or author cancelling?

I'm also looking to collect links about historical "cancelling" of groups. Kulaks, for instance.

We might be able to make this thread a resource for discussing this type thing on social media with the references that liberals always ask for.

Fire away!

The kulaks by Stalin.

The Jews by Hitler.

Anyone who didn't toe the Party line by Mao during the Cultural Revolution. (Oh, and the CCP is still doing it. Christians in China ordered to renounce faith, worship communist government to receive welfare payments.)

The abolitionist press by Southern slavery supporters.

Intellectuals by the Khmer Rouge.

Jews (again) by the Palestinians.

Jews (yet again) in the periodic pogroms of Czarist Russia.

Intellectuals by the Khmer Rouge.
And by "intellectuals" they meant anyone not part of the Khmer Rouge that could read, write, spoke a foreign language, or worked anywhere but in a farm field.

She is your brother's problem. Keep your teeth together.

Anything you say can, and will, be used against you.

At best, it will be a problem at family gatherings.

At worst, she will report you to antifa.gov for "re-education and work" camps when they take over your city.

She's my wife's brother's wife. He's just as bad. He trolls my kids' posts arguing relentlessly.

I'm probably already on the list for re-education anyway. ;)

And this, gentlemen, is why I dumped facebook years ago. There are members of my family I have significant points of disagreement with politically. I completely avoid it by just not being on facbook, and trying to mix in the occasional glass of STFU with my whiskey when home for holidays.

It's why I never got on, really. But, they're low level harassing my family*, so I'm weighing in. I know I won't change their minds, but I might help the silent readers.

Edit to add: *"important family members" I should have said.
