I'm not quite sure what he's trying to warn us of, however. It seems to be Nationalism, but he mentions nothing about the Islamic invasion. Strange, since he has lived in Israel for decades.

There is no such thing as a heroic generation? This generation’s youth can’t collectively be bothered to get off their ass, much less storm the beaches at Normandy, defeat Germany, and free the remaining Jews. Were there despicable dirtbags stepping off the landing craft? Sure. But as a whole, they stormed 5e damn beach.

People as individuals need to be treated as such. People as large mob groups need to be treated accordingly as well. Individuals made a difference where they could in Germany, but by-and-large, the few bad apples had rotted German society. Nazi ideologies were evil. Islamic ideologies are similarly so, and are diametrically opposed to freedom and the axiomatic basis for western society.
