And I, for one, am tired of the Confederate flag being responsible for these tragedies.

Yogi makes a valid point. Just like the Pentagon was a legitimate military target during 9/11, but the WTC was not.

Dingdingding.......we have a winner.

+10,000........ :D

If an E-6, O-1, or WO-1 can't be responsible with a personally owned weapon, he/she needs to be discharged post haste.

we will not glass them over. For one that would take a LOT of nukes. We won't even blast out ONE small city. We might however roll the tanks. If there is enough shit, it might be in the governments best interest rolling the tanks there so the tanker crews don't take a drive up Penn Ave.

And FTR, the first Marine recruiter to pull an unauthorized carry piece and wax the next shithead like this is going to buried under an avalanche of positive press that HQ would be set on fire if they don't pin medals on him and battlefield promote him on the spot.
After that, the scramble will be how best to implement the "Armed Marine on Duty 24:7" policy globally in the 0.02 seconds they'll have before congressmen start calling for the Commandant's head on a pike.
That would be a welcome outcome on both sides. Not holding my breath, but off base carry for CWP holders should now be taken under serious consideration then passed right over obummers protest.

If that is your foreign policy. You'd get my vote. I might even pay some democrats to vote for you several times.

I have some very intelligent friends. The first commentator was my 9th grade English teacher. All responses have been positive.

It was my understanding that the military has already established procedures for issuance of weapons to its personnel.
Indeed. it is incompatible with standard recruiting operations.
The Gunny that recruited me for the USMC in high school wasn't supposed to carry. He always had a .38 snub either in an ankle holster or in his briefcase. I imagine his attitude was not unique.

It is worth noting that the very same people who have been emulating the Taliban when it comes to confederate statues and monuments will adamantly oppose similar actions towards anything Islamic related.

Professional courtesy, old friend; Leftists are Sinn Fein to the Islamists' Irish Republican Army.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

How so? If a recruit is scared off by the sight of an armed recruiter, then perhaps he was not fit for service in the armed forces to begin with.
