i think they are very nervous... they are loosing ground, they are loosing the backing of the people and they are probably terrified... i would guess that they know that the gig is up and they are trying to ram as much as possible down the people's throat before the torches and AR's come out...

Sometimes I think you're right, and others I think they're so deep in the deluded inside-the-beltway circle-jerk that they're oblivious to the whistling of the pressure-valve -- hence the utter disbelief when one of 'em gets ambushed by a bunch of "right-wing tea-party-wackos' (read: constituents) like this.

Sadly, I think the latter is probably correct. They really don't get it.

Most of the people forget what went on with the politicians once they get in the voting booth. They keep putting the same ones back into office.
